My prayers have been answered but as always, be careful of what you wish for. Spring is here!!! The Bradford Pear trees have been absolutely wondrous, the forsythia branches reach out in all directions, and the daffodils bring memories of small pudgy hands bringing them in when the kids were in awe of the seemingly overnight growth of yellow flowers that had to be picked all in one day!
The days are warm but this I mostly learn from going to the mailbox or from inside on the weather channel. I have the misfortune of the more time I spend outside, the worse I feel. Damn allergies! I want to roll down the hill in the new growth of grass, I want to fall asleep reading in my hammock, I want to run around the house naked at night. But there is a price to pay...sneezing, headaches and watery eyes. I stay indoors and gaze out the large picture window in front of my computer and picture these favorite activities.
Rain is predicted tomorrow and yes, I know the needs of water, I just apprciate it now for washing off the yellow powder that coats everything outside. Until the next glorious sunny day when I brave the evil powder (with my box of tissues and meds) and revel in the miracle of Spring and the new growth of all things beautiful.
